MEET DYLAN GOETZ

Hi. My name is Dylan Goetz and I am from Augusta, Georgia. I studied biology at the University of Georgia. GO DAWGS!

I moved to St. Thomas in September 2018 from St. Augustine, Florida, to help start the dolphin program here at Coral World. I’m very excited about the opportunity to work in the beautiful Virgin Islands and with the Coral World Team!

It’s hard to pick a favorite animal at the park but if I had to, I would have to say it’s Rose. She is our lovely lady sea lion and she can be a total goofball like me! Any time I get the chance to work with our sea lions or birds, I’m a happy camper!

What is the grossest part of your job? Scooping poop counts, right? It’s all part of taking care of the animals but sometimes it gets a little messy.

What would you tell someone who wants to work in this field? It’s a VERY competitive field! If it’s something you truly want to do, I say go for it! Work hard. Ask questions and take the most out of any and every opportunity given.

If you could meet a superhero in real life, who would it be and why? Thor. I’ve got to ask him about his workout plan.
